Jane + Richard Pumple's Retirement Party

It meant the world to me when my neighbor contacted me about photographing her parents' retirement party. I have known those two all my life and have become family to their own family. They are funny, loving, and caring people. I was so excited to be able to get out there and photograph another event. Though event photography doesn't let me reach my highest potential, I still like it because it's the little moments you capture that mean the world to them. And that, is enough reward in my book.

Zacharia's 2nd Birthday

It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when people contact me to photograph a special event and in this case it was young Zacharia's birthday party. It makes me feel even greater knowing that a relative of the family hired me for his first birthday and they wanted me to do his second. This family is one of the kindest, most caring and most loving family I have ever had the pleasure of taking pictures for. They always make me feel at home. 

I have recently come across this beautiful field not too far from my home. I always want to shoot there. When the sun beams down over it, I can lose myself in its beauty. And perhaps that's why I think I love it so much, because I can lose myself. My worries, my problems, my fears, my struggles..all disappear when I'm in that field. It's just me and my camera and the wonders I can create with it.
