Botanical Center

Last week Billy and I spent a few days adventuring around, taking photos wherever we went. It was fun. I always love exploring new places, especially with my favorite person by my side. On this day we explored the Botanical Center. We didn't get to spend a lot of time here but it was beautiful. All the colors, the silence, the smells. Pure serenity.

Chelsea Antone

Chelsea and I met a few months ago when we started working together. We instantly got along. How could someone not with her high energy and great sense of humor? Chelsea goes back to school soon so we though it would be fun to do a shoot before she leaves. This was my first client shoot in two months. Hard to believe. Our one hour session turned into two and a half. The weather was perfect, overcast with a little color to the sky. And towards the end of our shoot, the sun started to come out shining the prettiest golden hour light ever. I felt like a little kid in a candy store, loving virtually every single shot I took. Thankfully Chelsea knows me well enough to be accustomed to my little quirks of excitement especially when it comes to photos. She was such a great model and brought along tons of different outfits. I had a blast on our shoot and can't wait to have her in front of my camera again!

Chelsea chose the Regular session. Interested in booking a shoot of your own?

O'Captain, My Captain

Sometimes photo ideas just hit you and you have to act on impulse. So that's exactly what I did when I thought of how to commemorate the late Robin Williams. So my boyfriend, William and I went out to shoot some photos this past Wednesday evening. After my original photo idea, I ended up taking some more photos. It was nice. The sky was so stormy, so dark, so mysterious, so beautiful.
After hearing about Robin's death this past week, I was deeply saddened. This man was the face of my childhood. He was in all the movies I watched growing up. Flubber, RV, License to Wed, Night at the Museum, Happy Feet, Bicentennial Man, Aladdin, Jack, Jumanji, The Birdcage, Hook and golly I must have watched Mrs. Doubtfire about 15 times. It troubles my heart to know that such a great and genuine man, on and off the screen, was battling demons far beyond his control. But there are no demons in Heaven, Robin. Genie, you're free.
