Michaela Burns

Michaela and I met a few months ago at work. I call her my twin even though we look nothing alike, we spell our names differently and she towers over me (short girl problems). On the day of our shoot, we were blessed with glorious warm summer weather even though it's fall. Our shoot was definitely one to remember. Poor Michaela took a tumble during the first five minutes of our shoot, her ankle was bleeding and everything throughout our session but she was determined to get some good photos, bleeding ankle and all. That being said, there were a lot of bloody tissues that stayed behind the scenes of our shoot. And as for me, well, I whacked myself in the head with my camera...underestimating how far away the camera really was in comparison to my face. Not one of my finest moments. But we're Makayla's and Michaela's, we know how to laugh about the little things. It certainly made our session memorable!

Mota Family

I met Jackie by chance as Billy and I were picking up some take-out where he used to work after we were coming back from a photo shoot. After introducing me to some of his coworkers, Billy was telling them about how we almost got stranded in the middle of the ocean because the tide started coming in (this was back in August so it was much warmer then!). The story soon turned into a discussion about my photography with Jackie and I gave her one of my cards. A few weeks later I received an email from her and our planning was underway. We had an absolutely gorgeous fall day for our session. I was able to meet and photograph Luis, her husband and their three kids, Justus, Kiara and Jeremiah who were all so fabulous and extremely adorable. We started the session off with the family taking a fun swan boat ride while I walked the path near the water to capture them having fun. It was a great way to start off the session. We shared a lot of laughs and had a great time exploring the park and taking all sorts of different photos. I really loved all the photos from this session and had such a wonderful time being able to work with a new family. And if just having the satisfaction of having an amazing shoot wasn't enough, when I dropped off this family's photos, Kiara had the biggest face of excitement and ran up to me and gave me a million hugs. Now that, made me feel special. I love my job. I cannot say it enough.

Sara Pierce

It truly makes me so happy to be able to have new faces in front of my camera. Sara's mom, Lynda, and I have been coworkers for the past three years at the restaurant we work at. So when she asked me to photograph her daughter's senior portraits, I was more than excited. Not only was I excited to work with someone new but I also was able to shoot at an entirely new location. Lynda's backyard literally had me in awe. It was so much fun to explore the different aspects of what lied in her acres of land. Sara is a creative spirit so I really wanted to make this senior session feel more like her very own fashion photo shoot, giving her the perfect senior photos and some fun, vintage images. We had such a great day of shooting with beautiful weather, positive energy and great images.
